Rhomboidal, Red, Bent, Step, Great, layered or unfinished, Egypt’s trail of pyramids starting at the Giza Plateau extends southwards along the Western Desert for 70 kilometers.  Indeed, over 100 pyramids have been uncovered in Egypt to date. 

For those with an interest in the Afterlife Beliefs of the Pharaohs, the circuit will cross the path of several of the most interesting pyramids.  Following the theological developments of this religious and funerary art through Middle Egypt’s Tel El Amarna tombs, the discovery tour will end with the pharaohs latest burial concepts illustrated in mountainous tombs on Luxor’s West Bank.
